Taped on the UK leg of the 'Damaged Justice Tour', this is a strong
recording of a fairly good performance and appears to be a 2nd source for
this show - Nelly-Duke's notes are as follows...
'...Simon C and I recorded both Sheffield and Bratfut with the same rig and
we were pretty much standing next to each other. I can't remember which
one it was at, but it was a few songs in, I was having a look round at what
was going on and had to do a double take: Peter Mensch was standing
about 6 feet away from me! I've always kept my recording quite well
disguised: kept the recorder under my jacket and I had a rig for the mic
where I wore a second t shirt which had a pouch for the CM30s stand to go in
near the top of my chest, I then put another t shirt on top, making
the mic invisible, but unlikely to muffle. Thankfully, he never saw us and
buggered off a few minutes later! It'll go a bit odd during 'One' as
the power started glitching and then finally cut out completely. The house
lights went up, so I turned the tape off and went to get rid of some
beer. The band came back on a few minutes later when normality was restored.
It's a pretty good recording as Simon and I were both on the ground
floor and reasonably close to the front...' |
