Taken from the original analog master, this is a great sounding show from
earlier on in Metallica's tour for the Black album. The bass is full and
tight with good high end as well. All the instruments come through clear and
loud. The only detraction is that the source didn't have a lot of stereo
separation, but this is very minor indeed. There are very small cuts in "Wherever
I May Roam" during the intro and another one in the "Alfred Hitchcock
Presents" portion of the Guitar Solo. Other than that, this source is as
complete as they come. Kirk seems to be in a good mood playing parts of Led
Zeppelin's "Heartbreaker", Lynyrd Skynyrd's "Sweet Home Alabama" and several
stabs at Rush's "Bastille Day" for good measure. This is an excellent
concert and energetic performance capturing Metallica before their death
spiral into musical and corporate mediocrity. Highly recommended for those
that like pre-corp Metallica. A thanks to the taper, Tim O. for supplying
the recording. As with all Digital Reproductions releases, this is for free
