I got this from Smores as two files that were recorded way too loud with
frequent clipping. I restored this damage, then EQd out the massive low and
mid-low frequencies to make it more in line with the other shows of Karl's
which I've transferred.
Thankfully by this point in his taping career Karl had learned (finally,
whew!) to keep his hands off the level controls. Something happened here,
tho, because most of Of Wolf and Man was missing. The intro was there, then
it cut to the guitar solo. All in all about two minutes of the song was
missing. I patched this with Karl's recording from Sydney from March 31st so
as to keep the flow of the show uniterrrupted.
The DAT files were recorded at 16/48. I've made this fileset at 16/44.1
because I see no point in a higher sample rate without a higher bitrate,
viewing these as a sort of phony high res (more like semi-medium res).
