Notes from the guy who did this great job : "When I started to
EQ it to lessen the bass and boast the treble, I noticed that the sound
itself seems to shift around quite a bit. Meaning that at random points it
sounds like a sudden EQ shift, especially in the mids and bass. Also there
were so many random volume changes also. I tackled this problem well and
adjusted it correctly. Both these problems, of course, exists on the master,
and if you check your copy you'll hear it too. I have no idea why and how
this happened. My only guess is the mics used swiveled and were pointing in
different dirrections and flanging occurred. And the guy kept bumping the
rec volume knob. Or, if this is a soundboard recording, the god damn idiot
on the soundboard kept screwing around with the levels. Anyway, I tried my
best to compensate and equal out the sound, but it was EXTREMELY difficult
to adjust. Mids would sweep high and low out of nowhere. Anyway, this is the
best I could do." |
