More Notes from the taper : This show has a story and a rant to go along. I usually don't share
many shows anymore because I found a few shows I uploaded to this site being
bootlegged on rockincd.com. Also, user Wolfsbane on guitars101.com was using
an upload site to make money off of a huge list of recordings including a few
of mine. People profitting on these gifts are trash... This recording is an
exception because it is so ruined by another "fan" that no one
would ever want to bootleg it. This is being shared more to expose this idiot
than anything. A couple guys behind me were shoving everyone around. I'm not
talking about usual moshing/bumping around, the man was violently shoving
both my wife and I with open palms, I guess in an attempt to get us to
"enjoy" the show as much as he was. It's the guy that keeps yelling
throughout the whole show with a strong Mexican accent and loud whistling as
well, if you hear the guy yelling and whistling you have ID'd the culprit. For
the sake of the rest of the crowd, I told the main offender to quit touching
people. He then tried to fight me and went on to call me a "pussy"
several times(with his group of 5 or 6 buddies around him). The shenanigans
really picks up around t10. Notable is t12(between songs) where he came
unglued and tried to get me to fight him. It's the guy yelling "F you, F
you, Go see Hannah Montana you pussies, it's heavy metal!" which is
funny because I enjoy Miley Cyrus therefore his taunt was directed at the
wrong person. The song CTE is particularly ruined by him as well; I do
apologize for the recording but I did my best. Unfortunately my wife alerted
security of the issue and the Fillmore Charlotte security did NOTHING about
the issue, leaving us fans to fend for ourselves. She was ignored when she
advised the yellow shirt security we had both been assaulted. It was a
situation that clearly constituted assault, as you can hear me telling the
guy not to touch me again as well as voices of other people warning him that
he was starting a fight. Keep this in mind when choosing which venues to
frequent, as we DID advise secuirty and were NOT protected. I've been to a
lot of metal shows and it's usually the most peaceful crowd. I've seen many
more fights and Widespread Panic and jamband bar shows rather than shows like
this. Hopefully you don't have the same experience I did."
