Finally, 16 years after the show, a genuine full audience recording of the
show was shared. The second night at the Hammersmith Odeon.
After Holy Wars
Dave inquires about who was at their show at the previous night. Pantera
were opening for Dave & Co. that night as well as at the other dates of
tour.
As for the quality of recording, here are the comments of the person
who shared it:
"Reasonable quality, unfortunately one of the channels on the
first half of the tape was very low, so I've cleaned it up and boosted it,
rather than just copy the other channel over." It actually turned out to be
not that bad, very listenable.
The recording was originally sold at one of
the London markets and I also got a tape inlay for it. Dave was VERY
talkative introducing the songs that night!
After Hangar 18: "For those of
you, who were not with us last night we like to change things around
...we're going to play a song we did not play last night. This is a single
that's coming out over here and as far as I know they played it on MTV's
Headbanger's Ball ... this is Foreclosure of a Dream"
The tape flip is after
Sweating Bullets and it happened without losing any of the music or Dave's
comments. The second part of the show sounds somehow better! Before TOS
Dave: "Have you ever [been] sick and f*** tired of somebody? So that you
pick up the phone and you say "GET OUT OF MY LIFE! October 4, 1989 I picked
up the phone and made a phonecall and I said 'You know what? I'm so sick and
tired of your sh*t! I've had it! We're through! F*ck yourself and then I
wrote 'Tornado of Souls'.
Before "Anarchy": You may not be old enough to
figure this one out, but someday you will. The song that needs no
introduction!" |
