Notes from the Taper : "We couldn't make the sole Killfest date in
the UK so decided to have a trip to Spain to sample the sights and sounds of
Barcelona - a really intriguing city with some of the strangest architecture
I have ever seen. The Bikini was a great small club with a good PA system.
The sign on the way in said it was licenced for 660 people but they must
have let more in as it was so packed - just what you want for an Overkill
gig - "hot and sweaty". Support was from Torture Squad (Brasil), Gamma Bomb
(Ireland) and Exodus. Overkill were excellent - probably as good as the
first time I saw them back in 1987! I still hope they come back to the UK
for a full tour. The recording has turned out very well with surprisingly
little crowd chatter considering we were bouncing around just on the edge of
the pit." |
